How to create USB bootable media for a clean install of Windows 10 on Winnovo Computers

When your Winnovo Computer can’t boot Windows 10, it’s necessary performing a clean installation of Windows 10, and you'll need a USB key pendrive, which you can create using the Media Creation Tool.

Using Media Creation Tool

To create a Windows 10 setup media using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, you need to use another Windows 10 Computer.

On this secondary PC, connect a USB flash drive of at least 8GB of space, and then follow these steps:

1. Open Windows 10 Media Creation Toll download page at: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
2. Under the "Create Windows 10 installation media" section, click the Download tool now button to save the file on your device.
   
   
3. You will download a file of about 20MB, called MediaCreationToolxxxx.exe
4. Double-click the MediaCreationToolxxxx.exe file to launch the tool.
5. Click the Accept button to agree to the Microsoft terms.
6. When the software will ask you, select to Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC option.
   
   
7. Click the Next button.
8. Remove the flag about to Use the recommended options for this PC option.
9. Select your correct local language, Windows 10 as edition, and 64-bit (x64) as architecture.
   
   
10. Click the Next button.
11. Select the USB flash drive option.
    
    
12. Click the Next button.
13. Select the flash drive from the list (the same drive you plugged at beginning).
    
    
14. Click the Next button.
15. Click the Finish button.

Once you complete the steps, the Media Creation Tool will download the required files and create a bootable media that you can use to start your device and install Windows 10.

How to perform a clean install of Windows 10

Once you performed the recommended preparations and created the USB bootable media, then you can proceed with the steps to do a clean installation of Windows 10.

Windows 10 clean installation

To do a clean installation of Windows 10, when your Winnovo Computer is shut off, connect the bootable USB drive, and use these steps:

1. Power ON the Winnovo Computer with the USB flash drive plugged.
2. When Winnovo logo appears, press immediately F7 to open the boot menu.
   
   
3. From this menu, select your USB key (Kingstone is only ad example, your USB drive can be called differently if brand is different), and press Enter.
4. After this, the installation will start, and on the "Windows Setup," click the Next button.
   
   
5. Click the Install now button.
   
   
6. If the procedure will ask for the product key of Windows 10, you can click the I don't have a product key option to continue.
   
   
7. Click the Next button.
8. If applicable, select the edition Windows 10 Home and click the Next button. (This selection often will not appear).
   
   
9. Select the I accept the license terms option to continue.
   
   
10. Click the Next button.
11. Click on the Custom: Install Windows only (Advanced) option.
    
    
12. Select the partition with the current installation of Windows (it’s the biggest partition you can see), and only about this partition please click the Format button. 
    (*ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE WIPE OUT AFTER FORMATTED, BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT DATA BEFORE FORMATING IF MATTERS)
13. Click the Yes button.
    
    
14. After you formatted it, click the Next button.

Once you complete the steps, the setup will proceed with the fresh installation of Windows 10 on your computer.

Windows 10 out-of-box experience (OOBE)

After the installation is complete, you'll need to go through the out-of-box experience to configure your environment.

To complete the OOBE on Windows 10, follow the common steps you usually follow on a new Windows 10 computer.

How to install drivers for your Winnovo computer

After you completed the OOBE setup, the desktop of Windows 10 will appear on your screen, but you will have no drivers.
